We went to the Choco Museo twice. Once just me and my wife and once with a group of friends. The chocolate samples are great. You can try a range of different chocolates from around Perú as well as chilli, maca and coca chocolate. There is also wonderful hot chocolate to try. The museum gives you details about the chocolate... More

The "museum" does not exhibit a collection of artifacts. However, it is a sweet place to visit with no admission charge, a guided introduction to the harvesting of cocoa pods and the manufacture of that universally popular confection. There is a movie about chocolate as an ancient Inca drink, free samples of the chocolate on sale, including pisco based liquors.... More

Jose gave us a great class on the processing of cacao beans into the paste used to make various grades of chocolate, a little history and a lot of fun. We had basically a private class, husband & I, learned to roast the beans, ground them by hand with mortar & pestle, then make chocolate tea, 3 types of hot... More

Great range of chocolate to buy- wouldn't account for spending more than 10mins here as very little ' museum'. Taste some chocolate, buy some chocolate- happy days!

I stopped at the shop in the plaza first and was told about the larger museum around the corner on the 2nd floor. I found a cute museum with a cafe that offered cooking classes. Very nuce chocolate desserts are served at the cafe it was a very nu e afternoon treat.
