Amazonas Explorer offers you fun new ways to see Machu Picchu and Peru. We use adventure to escape the crowds, show you special locations and create lifelong memories.

We are a small owner operated company, who love what we do. Based in Cusco for over thirty years we offer you world class guides, superb safety and equipment, fully risk assessed itineraries, faultless logistics, great back up and sales staff who really know what they are talking about.

Choose from Peru’s most comprehensive selection of fixed departures, with ten high quality small group tours each week. Or design the ideal custom made itinerary for each individual client with our honest advice, unrivalled local knowledge and fast response times.

We operate the best Peru family trip available and count the Wanderlust World Guide of the Year amongst our staff. We support Travelers Against Plastic, are currently joint chair of ATLAS ( Active Travel Latin America Specialists) and have planted almost half a million native trees in the Lares valley since 2007 as our commitment to 1% for the Planet. There is a reason we are the choice of discerning agents and travellers across the world.

I had found Amazonas Explorer, among other tour companies, in comment sections on Trip Advisor. After listening to what type of trip I was looking for,... More

We had three great days- rafting the Urubamba, hiking Maras, Moray & Salt Pans, and biking in the Sacred Valley- all with Amazonas Explorer. Guides were great, the driver was safe and the cooks were able to provide such terrific meals outside, both vegetarian and not. They are the best!
