About
We are the Only Inca Trail Tour Operator that has built a house for the Porters; Porters come to do this job from very far away communities up in the andes and had NO place to stay in in between treks; But NOW, they do have one and is called the LLama Path Porters' house - any one is welcome to visit this place at anytime. We are the ONLY agency in Cusco that takes Porters on vacations; yearly around 50 of them are taken on vacations to different parts of Peru as part of an all inclusive treat they immensely deserve from the 330 hard days of work they do to ensure our foreign clientes tours are enjoyable. In 2018 we will be going on the 4th Inca Trail Porters Vacations, this time we will be going to Trujillo and Chiclayo in the northern coast of Peru. The Porters Vacations is possible ONLY thanks to you who trust in our services provided; as you can see a part of our profits go NOT only to suport the Porters vacations but also to support the children after school project.

Best experience we could’ve asked for. TLDR: I’m already planning my next trip. 10/10 on everything.
Everything was taken care of in such a great way, from planning to tips upon arrival all through the experience. Our guide Nico brought such a great energy and presence to the hike that even the hard stuff was enjoyable. Cannot beat the views but it wouldn’t have been the same without the best lead in the biz. So much knowledge and information! His intimate connection to the places we visited enhanced our time on the trail immensely. The porters work so very hard to ensure our experience was the best it could be; they are beyond fantastic! Each stop was ready and waiting for us upon our arrival. We appreciated the warm water and towels to wash at the end of each day. All the food was really good and they provide plenty to keep your energy up along the hike. I especially appreciate the flexibility in the menu and the chefs modifying dishes around my food (dairy) allergy. All the meals were delicious and filling. I rented a tent which was very comfortable and had a porter help carry some things. I recommend bringing sunscreen, hat, camp sandals, wipes, and single soles for the bathrooms along the way. Might also consider your own sleeping pad or an upgrade. Bring clothes for warm weather and chilly - the range in temperature is impressive. Any kind of wool will do well. I used hiking poles that helped with the stairs and take pressure off your knees. I also took vital herbal supplement and never had an issue with altitude sickness. Highly suggest staying the night in Aguas Calientes - enjoy the hot springs and relax after the hike. The admin staff is very knowledge and helpful and even coordinating with a friend not going on the hike with us. I cannot say enough good things about Llama Path or the hike itself!

Professional service throughout the experience. We were picked up at the Cusco airport and brought straight to the in-house apartment that we were staying in. The in-house apartment was in the same building as the Llama Path office. The apartment was good, if a bit humid and wet.

The 2D1N trek to Machu Picchu was a lot of fun. Out tour guide Marco was very professional and knowledgable. He also was very reliable! We would definitely recommend him as a tour guide.

We had a great time throughout our trip to Cusco and Machu Picchu. We were in good hands with our guide Marco. He did a great job pacing us and explaining various sites along the trail. Also the apartment in Cusco was clean and spacious - highly recommend!

We had a great 2 day (1 night) Inca Trail trip with Marco! He was very knowledgeable about local plants and of course the Machu Picchu ruins. I would 100% recommend Marco again!

Llama Path was simply incredible. We did the 4D/3N Inca Trail trek, and the entire team was so supportive. You always feel taken care of by having incredible food and tents ready when you're done with your hike. Additionally, the porters not only cheer you on but are well cared for, something that was important to me in finding a trekking company. Ivan did a great job helping us. With this team, I was able to see some of the most incredible sights and visit the ancient Machu Picchu! I cannot recommend this company enough if you're considering the Inca trek.

The sights were amazing, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and was encouraging during the most difficult parts of the trail. Chef Ibam made an incredible spread every day and made me feel like royalty for every meal of the day. It was truly glamping with rugged adventure in one trip and I can’t thank the porters and tour guide enough for this unforgettable experience.

Just took a trip with llama Path in Cusco Peru. Doing the Inka trail in this way, a 4 day 3 night backpacking trip, was the best thing I could have done. While most of the crew we had knew each other before hand, we did have a new person that is now considered a dear friend to all of us. With such a fantastic guide and positive hikers it's easy to make friends on such unique experience.
As for the Llama Path crew, not only did we have a fantastic crew of porters and cooks who took care of us, we also had an absolutely amazing tour guide. Nico not only was knowledgeable about the archaeological sites we stopped at but also knew so much about the wildlife, fauna, and uses for different plants. He was very supportive of our crew which had varying fitness levels, and was very patient with us and our endless questions. Would do again in a heart beat!

Llama path is the best, we had an amazing experience hiking the Inca trail, everything was taken care of but not so overdone that it felt pampered. Our guide Nico was extremely knowledgeable and cared about our experience but the best part was how much he was able to share about his experiences and his culture, he has a true connection to the Inca that helped make a tourist trip into an experience of a lifetime.

The staff is phenomenal and made the trip a huge success, from the porters to the chefs to the fabulous guide. They made sure everyone was taken care of so that we could enjoy the wonderful views and the fascinating archaeological sites. Seeing Machu Picchu after the hike was ten times more interesting after having seen the trail from start to finish. The camaraderie on the trail from porters to other hikers to your own group was beautiful to experience. We were truly all in this together and Llama Path helped make that all possible. I would highly recommend this company for their attention to safety, comfort, and their commitment to sharing the history of this unique place.
