I really don’t know where to begin. Inca Footsteps was recommended to me by a friend and I couldn’t be happier. I celebrated my 30th birthday with the best team experiencing the most magical self journey. I won’t lie, the Salkantay trek is hard, but it was so worth it and possible because of the team that came on the journey with us. Separately (but not to be overlooked) the help Jimmy Jhon offered expanded beyond Cusco and the trek, but his connections got us accommodations in Lima. I couldn’t recommend this company more. I will be back to explore another part of Peru with Inca Footsteps.

I just completed the 5 day trek along the Inca trail to Machu Picchu and all I can say is WOW. Jimmy was an absolute dream to work with from the minute we were picked up from the airport until we were dropped back off a week later. The journey itself is awe-inspiring and extraordinary. It’s impossible to put into words how beautiful Peru is. However, what made this experience more memorable was the depth that Jimmy added with his knowledge and love of his country. We were constantly engaged in stories ranging from the history of the Inca people to modern day Andean culture. No question went unanswered. Our journey was also packed full of laughter (and maybe a few tears haha!), but what made the physically demanding parts worth it was coming into camp to the cheers of our awesome team followed by delicious food and hospitality. These group of men poured their heart into making sure our adventure was one-of-a-kind, and I’ll forever be grateful. (Shout out to the amazing Constantino). Inca footsteps gave me the trip of a lifetime and I can’t recommend them enough. Jimmy is a phenomenal guide, teacher, motivator, and friend… look no further, your perfect adventure awaits!!

What an amazing, once in a life time experience my sister and I had thanks to Inca footsteps. Our trip was originally booked for 2020 but with Covid ruining everyone’s travel plans ( and more) Jimmy rebooked our entire trip for this year and kept us in the loop with travel restrictions, covid protocol etc. We felt very safe and cared for because of Jimmy and his team before during and after our trip. We seriously couldn’t have done all that we did in 8 days without them. We went everywhere and did everything!! From sand boarding in the desert of Paracas; to boating off the Ballestas Islands; to the Scarred ruins and Machu Picchu; to eating some of the best seafood in Lima and hiking one of the most difficult mountains of my life in the highlands of Cusco. ALL personalized and custom tours. We had the pleasure of working mainly with Jimmy and Carmen. They were both so knowledgeable, patience and spoke perfect English. I cannot wait to go back and will most definitely choosing Inca Footsteps to take me on my next journey around Peru! Tupananchiskama (which is Quechuan for) “ until next time”

Jimmy gave me what I can now happily call the best trip of my life. It was a perfect experience from beginning to end. There was never a moment when I needed to ask myself what was next because Jimmy was on it. If you want to experience Peru through the eyes of a genuine, honest, kind, and smart Peruvian guy, Inca Footsteps is 100% the way to go. I don't even know where to begin. Jimmy was referred to us by a friend, which seems to be the way everyone found out about Inca Footsteps. And we all know the best referrals are by word of mouth... We did 15 days and it really was a once-in-a-lifetime wonderful journey. We went to Rainbow Mountain, Machu Picchu, Huacachina, Paracas, Lima, Cuzco, Lake Titicaca, Arequipa, Chivay, Sacred Valley....you name it, we went to see it. I simply gave Jimmy a list and he magically made it happen, in the best order and even with surprises along the way. You'll have the easiest going guy with you along, who used to be an Arqueoloist and knows the answer to every question regarding Peru you might have. I will never stop thinking about Peru. Jimmy: Thank you so much. Your joy and wisdom is a gift. To us and to everyone you meet. P.S: We're 100% going back to Peru and booking Inca Footsteps again. Do yourself a a favor and book your trip with Jimmy!

The Salkantay 4 day hike with Jimmy Jhon was an incredible experience from start to finish. I emailed the company to ask about a reservation and received an email response back very quickly. They provided an awesome packing list and we’re available to answer any questions along the way. Two days before the hike, Jimmy Jhon came to our Airbnb to talk with us about the trek, what to expect, pack, go over dietary restrictions, and give us our duffle bag for clothing and toiletries. The morning of we got picked up directly from our Airbnb and everything was taken care of along the way. The food, sleeping arrangements, and three other staff members made the experience beyond anything we could have imagined. We hiked through many different micro climates which made the trek different from others. This truly was an unforgettable, wild experience!
