About 10-15 min walk from plaza. Market is quite big, organised by products. Hats, fruits, meat, fish, textile etc. Souvenirs too. Good glimpse of local life. Interesting. Stayed for about one hour. Don’t come too early as most stalls would not be opened yet. Good view from the second floor.

Fresh food - fruit , veg and meat - looking of good quality. Lots of places to eat , juices , soups and steaming plates of chicken , pork and pork. Good place if you enjoy offal - things that disappeared in the UK in the 1950s. There was a party going on in one of the aisles - a band , a singer and some dancing - looked like fun. Well worth a visit - just ask before you point that camera.

Stalls offer ceviche, and also combination plates of ceviche with other local dishes, such as rocoto relleno and pastel de papas, for 10 soles. The pastry stand at the entrance is really recommended, fruit pies, in particular the strawberry pie, for 2 soles. The next stand sells yoghurt to drink.

We found everything we'd hoped to on our visit. Several yummy cheeses, some very good "real" ham, fruits and veggies for our AirBnB apartment for the week. Everything is very fresh and not pesticide infected. The meats are butchered on the spot. Textiles on the second floor.

Beautiful market loaded with fruits and veggies. Found fresh Coca leaves for our treks in the next few days.
