This is one of the most beautiful places we have visited in our time in South America. Great central place to get back to and head out for the next stop. Lots of restaurants and shops to rest as well.

Interesting and one of the few landmarks on the city, the church with its arches give it personality, with stores and restaurants around.

Perhaps the most beautiful Plaza in Peru, ample, beautiful, with the impressive Catedral, jilt with “Sillar” ( whitish lava color from the volcano Misti). This is an old plaza with much historical background. Well kept gardens, many pigeons and people. One impressive feature are the arches around the square that hold many stores and restaurants. Near by is the Iglesia de la Compañía (Jesuits), on the opositor side of the cathedral. A place to see specially the cupola, completely cover inside with beautiful paintings and a display of religious ornaments in gold and silver.
