Nothing more then a downhill trip on a dirt road. We would not recommend it. When you do decide to do it, then do not book it with Kusi travel. We had a negative experience with them. They put us on a jeep with an...More

We had a great view of Chanchini from Mirador Carmen Alto location. Chanchini is a old volcano with a height of 6,057 m / 19,872 ft. Quite spectacular to see.

If you want to survive, do not go with Quechua. We decided to cancel our trip with them and change agencies after we tried out the stuff. We asked to check out all the material the day before, because we wanted to be sure everything...More

Thoroughly make sure if you (and your kit) are up for this beforehand. Basecamp is at 5200, make sure you're comfy at that altitude! Make sure you've ascended more than 1000m of altitude in one go before.

I went to Chachani with Mountains & Adventures on Jerusalen no. 508 in Arequipa, guide Jose and I recommend the company and the guide. I did in 2 days. It's easy peak when you are acclimatized.

Alain and his team from Wayki adventures gave us all we needed to reach the top of the Chachani vulcano. Without their willingness to let us reach the top, it would not have been possible. Definitely recommend this agency.

First of all, the experience was great. It is an easy way to tick off 6000m from your bucket list. The climb itself is not techniqual and only requires crampons for the last few hundreds meters meaning any novice, of decent fitness, can make it...More
