The Arequipa historic center is quite large. Don't limit yourself to the main square, go explore. The market is awesome. Close to some of the hospitals you can find awesome street food

This is a good example of a historical center in Peru, Not very crowded with foreign tourists, but noticed a lot of locals visiting the square. Very well preserved building. You can find some great shops and restaurants around the square. Great spots for photos!...More

From museums to restaurants, this city is functional and worth a stroll around any time of the day. There is a fantastic church and square near the casino too.

All cities in Peru have the old parts that are very clean and well maintained. The classic Spanish architecture is obvious.
