I've taken cooking classes in many countries and this class is one of the best! Marisa is a talented chef. She's also super sweet and kind. The food dishes we made were amazing! My husband and I had a wonderful time learning about Peruvian food and culture. I would highly recommend this experience to all travelers who visit Arequipa.

We did this as a couple, and absolutely loved the experience. Marisa was patient, and supportive while we fumbled her family secrets, but the end result was a perfect meal with some amazing flavours that i can't wait to bring back to Aus with us. We thoroughly had the best experience doing this.

Marisa was a great teacher for cooking Peruvian dishes. We made ceviche, causa, pisco sours and a mango dessert - all of which were delicious. Marisa cooked with us in her own home, which made it a lovely local experience. As our Spanish is lacking, Marisa invited her friend Jinmy as translator, who also took photos. Together we had a joyful evening!
Afterwards we were provided with recipes and the photos.
Highly recommend!

Marisa and Lourdes (the translator) were both very charming and hospitable. We had a fun experience preparing traditional Peruvian dishes and making pisco sours.
Lourdes explained/translated all of the instructions and background information, telling us the history of the dishes while we were making them. She emailed us the pictures and recipes, which we look forward to sharing with others when we get home.
Communication beforehand was a little tricky. Marisa does not speak English and wanted to send a taxi to pick us up. We were unsure of where we would be at the pickup time and it may have been easier if she had given us an address so we could hire a taxi ourselves to drop us off.
Despite any issues beforehand, it was a fun evening and a great way to get to know a little bit about the local culture. We would highly recommend this experience!

I would definitely recommend this cooking class for anyone who is looking for an authentic and personal experience!
We got picked up from our hotel and started with a tour around the food market where we tried some Peruvian fruit. We then went to Marissa's house and started the class. We made Ceviche, Potato dish and Pisco Sours. It was truly delicious!!
Thanks for the great lesson Marisa!

I would recommend this course to anyone who loves cooking, enjoys good food and enjoys socializing in a homely and hospitable environment. During the course you prepare three courses and a cocktail. We were completely full at the end! Thank you very much, ladies!
