It's just a video presentation of the universe: the planets, moons, telescopes, important people in astronomy, that sort of thing. I love everything about space, but this is just a video presentation on the ceiling, and a poor one at that. The video is dark...More

The Planetarium of Cuenca city or "Star Theatre", is a large theater that offers a very good view of outer space. If you want to learn in a didactic and funny about the science of astronomy visit this place.

All in Spanish, really neat place to go and take a break from Parque de La Madre or to hide out from the rain.

I really enjoyed my trip to the planetarium. The show is free, but you must have a good command of Spanish to really enjoy it. I learned so much! Thank you, Cuenca!

I was one of a few seniors who took 20+ middle school kids to attend the program. Kids were mesmerized, no need to rectify behavior!! Well worth the effort to arrange with the Staff.

We came upon the Planetario on the edge of Parque de la Madre. As luck would have it, the next showing was to begin in ten minutes, so we took advantage of our good fortune. When our turn came, we were allowed into the theatre...More

I was excited to see what this charming, well used park had to offer when I saw that they had a planetarium. I went three times before I was able to snag a solo seat! The show itself was dated sad to say, but for...More

The planetario is free, which is nice,. Too bad it is not really a true planetarium. No light show, etc. They just showed a regular movie on part of the ceiling. The movie was only in Spanish and was several years behind on its content....More
