Egas's work is quite striking--I liked his indigenous peoples images, and also how his style got more abstract over time. Guest exhibit above not quite so compelling, but worth the journey upstairs. And the museum is free.

This museum is free and right down the road from the Basilica del Voto Nacional, so why not come? The paintings by Egas were phenomenal. Rich in color and detail. There are other paintings displayed around the indoor patio area as well, but the real...More
