This is a great place to go for breakfast or lunch and shop for fruit, vegetable, meat and fish. We specially loved Wed market. It became our routine to go to the market to have breakfast inside of market or outside the coffee shop Carolina,...More

The Iñaquito Ancestral Market is our weekly must stop because we buy everything fresh and the variety is awesome and at better prices than the grocery stores. Expect to pay more if you are a ‘gringo’, unless you learn the art of ‘bargaining’. Caseras will...More

The market is always a good place to go and get a good sense of the local produce. Colours and smells of a very diverse country! See the fruit and vegetable section. You can bargain on the price. But I wouldn´t encourage eating fruit on...More

If you live in Quito this is a great place to get vegetables and foodstuff you cannot find elsewhere, and to buy fish and hornado. If you are a tourist who looooves markets it is a great place.

This was the best market we've found thus far, beautiful, lots of selection, very fresh produce, produce not found elsewhere (sweet potatoes, pomegranates), clean, vendors courteous and helpful. We didn't even make it to the outside area. Next time!
