One of the first places in Quito you should visit for several reasons. Besides a great selection of reading material at good prices, you can get loads of travel information from Mark the owner or other travelers that may be in. On top of that, the atmosphere of the bookshop itself is very welcoming and relaxed. You can also share... More

The Bookshop is one of the nicest places in Quito to visit. Quaint, and a haven full of best-selling authours as well as rarities as well as the best customer service and charm available in the area. Thank you Mark!

It's always like visiting a friend when you come across a shop that sells books in your native language.

What a great selection of books and lovely owner. We had great 30 minutes chat about life in general. It is more like community centre. Prices of books are fair. From 4 dollars you can get great book or trade yours. Hugely recommend. PS. We will say Hello to Essex (owner is from Essex) 👍
