I was in this park and it is nice and you can have a beautiful panorama. You can go with friends o couple and have a picnic afternoon. Or you can see the sunset only. I recommend go in a Sunny day cause in raining days is very cold. You can arrive free if you walk of centre of city.... More

A great park which was very nice to visit on a Saturday. Lots of football going on and people walking or running around the track. It provides a good spot for a tourist photo of Quito with the sign. Plus there is a cool crystal palace with beanbags which is a key place to escape the blazing sun or pouring... More

Our hostel was in San Blas, so it was just a 10 minute climb up to Itchimbia. There are a bunch of stairways off Los Rios that head up to the park, you can take any of these to get there if you're coming from San Blas/Old Town. The park has incredible views of Quito, as well as playgrounds and... More

If you want to enjoy a really nice view of the city, this is the place. It is better to take a cab to go there. It is great for walking or running cause is a large park.

Parque Itchimbia is a 30-45 minute walk from Quito's historic center and Mariscal neighborhoods. I disagree with another reviewer who suggested taking a cab because the surrounding neighborhoods are not safe. I walked up via one route and back via another (alone) and never felt unsafe. For those who like to walk and/or want to save money, walking is fine.... More

Great for running, walking and dog walking. This park overlooks the old town of Quito. A large park which has the Cultural center in the middle of it.

I loved the view from Parque Itchimbia. You, however, should take a cab or bus up the hill. It is not a long distance from some of the museums at the bottom of the hill. But, you do have to walk across a neighborhood that is not great. You should opt for the safe route and take a cab or... More

You would not expect this to be right in Quito. It is a giant, beautiful park with plenty to do. I lived in Quito for a summer and I would come up here to lounge around, play soccer or basketball with friends, or to get some amazing ceviche de chochos (a must try in Ecuador). There is a beautiful Quito... More

Went there on my way out of Quito. Great views and a good place for picture taking. Loads of large, colorful hummingbird sculptures and a huge Quito sculpture.

This parc has a great view over the city. The 'Quito letters' are a great photo moment. It's possible to sit on the grass and have a look over the city. Nice to spend an hour of your time. You can get there by taxi / bike or by walking.
