Avisit to this venue is a MUST SEE on any visit to Quito. If you happen to be a senior citizen & and have a local knowledgeable friend/tour guide, your can visit here for the amazing price of twelve cents on one of the Quito city busses. [Even if you're not a senior, the fare is just a quarter and... More

If you go on a tour, this is guaranteed to be a stop. Reach the top to see the Virgin and climb the stairs to see the entire area of Quito. Absolutely amazing to see the houses, old town, new town, the churches, the Presidents Palace, walls and walls of houses on the hills etc etc. About $2.00 to get... More

This attraction was included as part of our larger Quito planned tour prior to a trip to the Galapagos. We took a tour bus up the hill and then had 15 - 20 minutes to walk around. It was a beautiful day and the ability to see long distances across the city's hills and valleys. The statue itself is impressively... More

We came up here with the Quito double decker tour bus. The bus stops for twenty minutes or you can stay as long as you want and take the next bus . There are shops selling souvenirs etc and also there is a security guard up there. The views of the city are worth the visit. You could probably take... More

We drove up to the top but there is a stairway from the old city. We enjoy the view as there were clouds over the cable car view so this was our only way to get a view of the city . Great food vendors and we had our first hot, home made empanada. There are some jewellery vendors ---... More

While you really need to grab a taxi to get up here, it was worth the time to be able to go inside the statue and get such a beautiful view over the city. Interesting photos inside too of the construction of the Virgin.

It is a very Nice spot to view the city and the mountain around but beware there is some pickpoket waiting for you if you travel alone and are the type of person to be far away of the crowd.

I think the entrance fee is somewhere between 50 cents to 2 dollars depending on age, special abilities, worth it if this is your first time. Basically it's a windy steep case of stairs to the terrace, and then more or less the same views you get from downstairs.

I went here right before sunset, and not only do you get to climb on to of the Virgin, but right down across the road you have the most amazing view of Quito. I stayed up here watching the sun set. There is a tourist trap here of course, but some of the musicians (even though not necessarily Ecuadorian), put... More
