Many things happened in this square, for example it´s where President Garcia Moreno fell murdered in the middle of 1800´s. Best light in the morning to take Picture of monuments but in the night there are good lights to take long shot exposures.

On Mondays they have the "Change of Guard" which is very interesting with the "Granaderos" in their traditional attire.

Tidied. Green. Seating available. Cafés around for light food or lunches etc. Heard that it is lit up at night, but I was there during the day.
