Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

David was our tour guide for three of us. He was very informed about the Ecuadorian history and various periods in the development of Quito. The manner of his personal attention to us and enthusiasm was exceptional!
When we had returned to our hotel after the tour, my wife discovered that she had lost her cell phone either at the last museum we visited or in the taxi cab. We contacted David and he spontaneously went back to the museum and retraced our steps to try to find the phone.
We highly recommend David for any of the tours you may want to take in Quito. He is extremely knowledgeable and clearly is a person who goes above and beyond Expectations for any situation you may encounter.

I did the Mariscal & La Floresta Exploration Walking Tour with Katty. I was the only one on the tour and she still carried out the full tour with me! She was very kind and friendly and gave me tips about what food and places to visit in Ecuador. The tour itself was very pleasant. She explained some beautiful street murals and other significant places we passed (even the fruit trees and plants) and there was a nice chocolate tasting (I love the maracuyá chocolate!). Thank you Katty!

This was a fun walking tour at a comfortable pace. We saw some interesting parts of Quito that most tourists don’t get to see, but tell the visitor a more complete story of this fascinating city.

Our guide, David, was friendly, knowledgeable about the history and culture of Ecuador, and spoke excellent English. We recommend this tour!

PS: Bring sunscreen and a good hat! The sun is very strong due to the altitude.

We had the tour with Katty, it was excellent! Although there was a demonstration and the center of the city (main square) was closed to the public. She managed to get us inside and keep going with the tour. You need to take this tour to learn more about Quito! And there was a surprise at the end! Thanks so much Katty!!

Fantastic tour to Cotopaxi. We went with them specifically David the guide and had a wonderful day driving and then hiking Cotopaxi. Also explored all the other places in the area the lagoon . Went to a market. David is a wealth of information on Ecuador and his love of the country and guiding truly shows through. Highly recommended!

A wow tour and experience with fantastic people and professional tour guides, who go above and beyond their duties to make sure you have a good time and learn new things. They have so much knowledge of the city, country and its history. Quito's Historical Centre is a must. I loved the tour so much, that I booked another walking tour of La Mariscal and La Floresta neighbourhoods. I highly recommend Walk for Tips Ecuador. Thank you Catalina and team.

Had a great walk with David. A lot of information about the city, history of Equador and life in Quito. Great conversations on the way between sights, and the chocolate tasting was an unexpected bonus. Prepare good walking shoes and don't pay attention to the advertised length - if we weren't short on time we would probably spend another 3 hours walking

Had an AMAZING tour of the Old Town with David. We came during Carnival and he spent extra time with us so we could participate in the activities. He had worked in tons of places and knows everyone. I loved seeing him stop to say hello and exchange a few words with people on every street. And man does he know a lot about the city and the history! We spent probably 5 hours together and he only scratched the surface. Learned a lot, but it was casual and fun. Felt like spending the day with a friend :)

David provided an amazing tour for us this morning. He is incredibly knowledgeable, and was able to give us so much information about Quito. He is highly educated, and was also able to give us a lot of the history of Ecuador. All of the areas he took us to were incredibly beautiful and interesting. He is an excellent storyteller, and overall a really great guy. He is very well-connected with the community, and we were always well received wherever we went. The market was incredibly interesting, and he was very helpful throughout and patient as we looked around. We really enjoyed learning about the culture, and having great photo opportunities. I highly recommend!
