We booked the 11 day trip with Celebrity. A day to fly in, a day to explore Quito, 7 days onboard the Xpedition, a day back to Quito, a day to explore Quito on our own until we flew out the day after. Celebrity was waiting for us and quickly got us on a bus to the hotel (about an... More

We found Ideal South America very accommodating and pleasant to work with as we planned our 17 day adventure. We encountered one problem on day one..and they quickly made sure everything was corrected immediately. It was smooth passage going forward. We chose a land package on the Islands and it was a great experience. Machu Pichu was superb, and the... More

Gosh, this was one of the very very best trips we have ever taken. If you are considering a Galapagos trip, this one is freaking amazing and I am pretty picky. They totally "get it." The food is very good, every meal had plenty of choices and was very nice. I cannot compare it to other ways to see the... More

Just returned from a 12-day trip to the Galapagos. Spent 3 days in Puerto Ayora and 8 Days and 7 nights on the Nemo 2 catamaran. It was a wonderful experience to see the wildlife of the Galapagos. Just as you have read you are often only two or three feet from the wildlife. They have no fear of humans.... More

There are many catamaran options available in the Galapagos - make sure you select the one best suited to your requirements. We chose this one because of the islands it went to - principally Genovesa. It didn't disappoint as Genovesa is a spectacular caldera with abundant wildlife. It also provides plenty of snorkeling - if this is not your scene... More

Our experience with these two companies made cruising the Galapagos a special event in our lives. Small Ship Safaris made the arrangements for us in Quito and the Galapagos. Everything about the trip was done with skill and attention to detail, from the guide who picked us up and gave a walking tour of Quito on arrival and picked us... More

We booked a "bucket list" trip to the Galapagos through Heather Blenkiron of CNH (Cultural and Natural Heritage) Tours. I had spoken with Heather several times previously about a planned Galapagos trip several years prior that we were never able to pull off and found Heather to be the most helpful and knowledgeable source about the Galapagos, being a former... Just returned from an eight day trip on the Eclipse. This was booked through Vaya Adventures. The ship is supposed to hold 44 passengers, but for our week there were only 15 passengers. By Thursday, there were only 11. What an unexpected surprise! The group got along very well. The crew of the ship was outstanding. The service, friendliness and... More

Just returned from an 8 day cruise on the M/V Eclipse. Ship holds 48 passengers, but there were only 19 on board for our week - bonus! Crew were great, especially the naturalists Whitman and Marta, who guided us on our daily adventures - hiking, snorkeling, panga tours, and beach visits. There was so much to see every day, the... Three of us spent a week on the M/Y Eric below deck at the Iguana level, right side, Cabin 10, chosen because it was a triple. A new pump had just been installed in the wall next to the head of the bed not a bunk bed. The noise would have prevented sleep. The captain had us use the vacant... More
