Interesting museum dedicated to artist Violeta parra who specialized in needlework and paintings. Admission is free, donations are accepted. Quick stop, it’s a small place, but worth it for the serenity

This museum has only been open for 3 year but it is still free to enter. We went to see it out of curiosity: 60 years ago in 1958, my dad came on a university expedition to Chile and wrote about how he and his...More

A beautiful and informative exposition of Violeta Parra's life. The museum shows some of Violeta's pieces of arts with informative texts, videos and sounds. It's close to the subway. The entry is free.

There are not a lot of English signs or information at this museum but with my rudimentary Spanish I got the gist of who Violeta Parra was and her work on display was beautiful to look at. It’s free to go in; you have to...More

Parra is a historical figure in Chile, but mostly for her unorthodox life and early death. Her art doesn't seem quite as well known. The Parra weavings in this museum are the most impressive of her creations in my opinion, and are displayed well. I...More
