I went here with my friends from New Zealand for the day and was absolutely worth it. There is a variety of different slopes that work for everyone and not too crowded.

cheaper than you can do this trip on your own

I thought $150 was a lot to pay for this at first. My uber driver told me a bus to the center and back would be $30 each way. The lift tickets are $84 and equipment rentals are expensive, too. I also had trouble finding out which hotels were truly ski in and ski out. After frustrating research and not being able to find a low priced hotel, I booked this trip and I am glad that I did.

The slopes are good but not great. I have never seen a more beautiful mountain view from the top looking down on Santiago. They pick you up at your hotel and I would not recommend the drive up and down the switch backs. On our way home, there was a major crash that probably involved a fatality.

They picked me up at 7AM and after picking up several others, we were at the equipment rental place around 9AM. Our equipment was waiting for us when we arrived and we were off to the slopes.

Good option for 1 day ski tours
Jul. 2016 • Family
We bought a one day ski package in La Parva from Skitour. Their business is operated by a small team and the deal was closed over the phone.

They picked us up at the hotel (the shared van arrived 25 minutes late), passed by their office so that people could book ski gear and then drove up to their ski center in El Colorado. The ride to the mountain was fine, although the guide was silent most of the time.

As we arrived, everyone's gear was already labeled and was handled over in an orderly fashion. The equipment was in pretty good condition.

We then headed back to the van and to La Parva for 2 hours of ski lessons and free time on the beginner slope.

All things considered, our tour happened as expected.

In spite of that, I would advise those buying tours that benefit from more interactive guidance to choose one of the other larger operators avaliable in Santiago.

Disorganisation and poor quality staff

I would not recommend this company to ANYONE! Myself and my wife went on a "ski day" today. Picked up at 6:50 from our hotel and eventually made it to the slopes at 12:45 (a supposed 2 hour drive!). The staff time driving in circles in Santiago, our driver was incompetent at driving in snow and putting on snow chains and our guide gave us no information about anything. The ski rental organised by skitours took us on an hour and a half detour to an entirely different resort from where we were going. When we arrived at Valle Nevada our guide didn't have enough tickets for everyone and didn't know how to get more. We were then given the wrong type of ticket and had to fix this ourselves as our guide disappeared as soon as she could, after telling us that we would have 4 hours on the slopes. On the way home the driver tried to overtake several cars on a blind bend and then threatened to throw other customers off the bus when they asked him to slow down. Our "ski day" turned into a "ski 4 hours" and 9 hours of travel/ wasted time. Skiing in chile is good and the resort was excellent. I'm sure there are companies that will give you a great experience but this is not one of them. STEER CLEAR!
