Old and Statuesque
Jan. 2020
This large university is close to 200 years old. Founded in 1842. It is pretty inexpensive to attend compared to North American Universities. There are about 42,000 students who attend. Soccer and Tennis are 2 of the most popular sports played here. Access to the ground was quite easy to walk around.

Another great building
Jan. 2020 • Solo
They let me walk in no security.
I just wandered around some rooms some sculptures and a library.
I wasn't overly impressed but I don't know much about the history of the building.

I was amazed with the big 360 screen. The show was awesome. Please check their website before going as many people book early by online.

Nice building
Mar. 2017 • Couples
The building itself looks nice but nothing too spectacular.

There are lots of restaurants and shops around it though so the area is worth visiting.

Very Yellow
Oct. 2016 • Friends
Had the chance to see this place last week and like the architectural design but not so much the intensity of the yellow colors all around. I wish they would've have given that place just a little more life...

O'Higgins is Famous
Jan. 2016 • Couples
The University is supposedly the best in Chile and is a public university. In every village and town in Chile there is a Betnardo O'Higgins St and this University is on it. The uni is a large building which is near San Francisco cuurch

Seems more like a museum
Jan. 2016 • Couples
Surrounded by an active construction project the university was empty during our visit. There is a bookstore attached to the main building. We were able to access a couple of interior-courtyard art sculpture displays. Also, there was an exhibit highlighting immigrant history in Chile. The bathrooms were not open to the public and required key access.

Imposing Architecture
Jan. 2016 • Solo
I stumbled upon the main (colonial) building during a summer visit but without the students who were on break it looked more like a naked corpse. I'm sure it is impressively alive when university is in session.

Not much to do for a visitor or tourist
Feb. 2015 • Solo
You will invariably cross the building if you land up at moneda street or on o-higgins street. But for a visitor to Santiago this building does not offer much other than a facade to look at for a few minutes.
