This old building is cool. A bunch of people walking around doing their own business since It nears subway rail station.

The building itself looks nice but nothing too spectacular. There are lots of restaurants and shops around it though so the area is worth visiting.

Had the chance to see this place last week and like the architectural design but not so much the intensity of the yellow colors all around. I wish they would've have given that place just a little more life...

The University is supposedly the best in Chile and is a public university. In every village and town in Chile there is a Betnardo O'Higgins St and this University is on it. The uni is a large building which is near San Francisco cuurch

Surrounded by an active construction project the university was empty during our visit. There is a bookstore attached to the main building. We were able to access a couple of interior-courtyard art sculpture displays. Also, there was an exhibit highlighting immigrant history in Chile. The...More

I stumbled upon the main (colonial) building during a summer visit but without the students who were on break it looked more like a naked corpse. I'm sure it is impressively alive when university is in session.

You will invariably cross the building if you land up at moneda street or on o-higgins street. But for a visitor to Santiago this building does not offer much other than a facade to look at for a few minutes.

It is such a mini history lesson to learn that there is a Chilean independence hero named O'Higgins. The universidad is located on this street among others. Looks old and not ready for its close-up
