Barrio Lastarria is a neat location. You have decent bars, people selling things. I don't really have any complaints about the neighborhood.

We enjoyed dinner in this area a few times. We particularly loved the wine bar that also served beautiful food; at first (from the street) we thought it was just a wine bar. On one occasion we arrived early at 7 & we were pleased that the place was already buzzing - unlike some other restaurants that don't open until... More

I lived in Santiago for almost a year and Lastarria was one of my favorite areas. There's lots of cute, trendy restaurants and cafes. It's very artsy and bohemian. Centrally located too. Just beware many of the places aren't cheap- not overly expensive- but not cheap.

Nice street with pavement restaurants, quite busy in the warm evenings. Several nice places to choose between and very close to the metro station.

Very cool vibe, awesome restaurants. The archiecture is gorgeous and its got so many food places to try. Definitely a place to walk through even if youre not going to eat there. Theres also an Emporio de la Rosa location there- which is a must when visiting santiago!

there is very little to criticize about this neighborhood. It has an edgy, almost hippiesque vibe to it, with streetside vendors selling items more reminiscent of the 1960s than today. Still, there is a nice restaurant/movie house here: The Portfolio, where we had a very tasty dinner with wine for reasonable prices on the rooftop. Later in the week, we... More

Near the university, with a good vibe. Also near Santa Lucia Park p,a must see and Santa Lucia Markets, a good place to but lapis lazuli. Our niece was living here too, so it also had a personal connection
