Came to this museum with an interest in science and nature for something to do one afternoon. It was free entry and the exhibits are very good as long as you don’t mind taxidermy!

This is a very easy subway ride that lets off directly in front of the museum courtyard. It is a free museum. The day before we had hiked the Andies and went to this museum to see the famous sacrificed ancient child mummy discovered and...More

Great natural history museum in Parque Quinta Normal, and just a short walk from metro station Quinta Normal. Slightly dated in looks and feel, but good information. Great place if the weather isn't so good outside, but if it is you have the park to...More

This is a great museum - really good dioramas, great information, and really educational. It is suitable and engaging for all ages - many of the displays will enchant small children, but there is also heaps of information for the interested adult. The displays include...More

This museum has a fantastic exploration of the biogeography of Chile. I had a wonderful time geeking out on the displays about the different regions of Chile, and learned a lot. The displays were nicely done (penguins!, pumas! desierto florido!), the information was just right...More

Lots of information about the history, geography and culture of Chile. You can travel in time in different sections of the museum. Very well exhibited and modern. Entrance is free. Some information translated to English as well.

The architecture of the museum's grand building in Quinto Normal Park was the highlight of our visit here. Sadly, the contents of the contemporary display spaces date from a bygone age: taxidermy and dioramas. All signs are in Spanish and the English language audio guide...More
