As an enthusiast I have visited railway museums all over the world but this is my favourite. The locomotives are displayed in lovely surroundings with plenty of space around them. Ideal for photographs. Each locomotive has an explanation in Spanish and English although some plaques...More

It's the place to go for train lovers and technology enthusiasts. You can examine very old and huge steam locomotives. There are several of them in a green and large area. I visited on a rainy and cold day and there were less than 5...More

A nice place to visit when strolling around the park. Tickets for adults are $800 Chilean pesos. Few trains and many noisy kids, but still ok since it doesn't take long to see the whole thing.

To the many positive reviews others have written about this museum – the casual adult visitors with kids we saw during our visit seemed to really enjoy themselves – must be added that this is a tremendously important historical collection of steam locomotives. It includes...More

This museum is awesome! It is located outside, in Quinta Normal Park, and has a great display of old school trains with their stories of origin. You can even walk through one of the train cars to get a glimpse of the inside of them....More

In "Quinta Normal" park, you have plenty of options to visit, the "Train musseum of Santiago" is a nice visit for a sunny afternoon. For a very low price you get to visit a part of the history of Santiago and Chile.

Nice display of locomotives from times past. Don't forget to ring the bell on locomotive 439 and sit in the passenger car. Great for train lovers.

Entrance fee is cheap. Then you don't have too much to see and it will be great have the chance to visit inside more trains. Anyway my 2 years old baby loved it. So I guess I'm going again.
