There is a small fee to enter the museum but it is worth the price. The inner courtyard is very peaceful with only the sound of water splashing from the fountain. Terrapins and birds use the waters to bathe and drink. All around the cloisters...More

We wandered into this museum somewhat by accident, and loved the chance to explore and be part of something so much older than our county has. The architecture, the artefacts and the experience all make this a museum that is worth exploring. It is simple,...More

The museum is an opportunity to travel back in time a few hundred years. Yes, it' heavily religious art, but that's a lot of what they had back then. Very nicely displayed in the courtyard and building (convent?). Well worth the price of admission.

In the beautiful cloister next to San Francisco Church is magnificent collection of colonial era art. The paintings are mainly from the Cuzco school - the main gallery has a series of 30+ large paintings of the life of St. Francis. One particularly stunning painting...More
