The tour provided a great insight into this unusual home of an unusual man and his third wife Matilda. Well done audio-guide. Interesting eclectic collection of art, objects, and history. Loved the funky nautical theme of the bar and dining room on the first floor....More

Not just a poet, Neruda filled a soccer stadium for his funeral and started a revolution. His three homes in Chile are revealing insights into the man. I came away understanding him much more clearly. He turned other people's discards into beautiful treasures. He was...More

Me and my wife visited La Chascona since she insisted so much in doing so. I found it interesting. It was nice to see some places where part of Neruda's and even Santiago's history took place. I recommend using the sound guide.

It is a house that has part of his life, also a good store with interesting pieces, the best ones are not so easy to take on a travel but they are good to see.

La Chascona is one of the places you MUST visit. That's one of Pablo Neruda's house, since he has (or had, since he is dead..) one in Valparaíso and another in Isla Negra. This house is the one his lover had lived and he would...More

An expressive house of Chile's favorite communist. Very well restored and gives a taste of the flavor of the man without overstating anything. Since there is no senior discount I thought the 4000 Pesos was a little high compared to the other museums.

Santiago is at least 2 hours by car from Valpariso. It can be done if you are in a time crunch.. Ask your Santiago hotel if they can arrange a car for you.
