We came here expecting an interesting hip area and found a neighborhood full of sleazy bars fully of sketchy people, maybe some hookers? We did feel safe, but on a busy night, watch your wallets! No place seemed pleasant enough to have a drink in....More

If you are looking for a place to chose a restaurant just by walking around you should definitely choose Bellavista. Close to the funicular and Chascona there are lots of restaurants and bars.

I came to this area to visit Pablo Neruda's home and discovered an area full of restaurants, pubs, bars and more. Influenced by two universities close by, the night scene is superb and bar hopping is a must. Plan to stay late!!!! The only drawback...More

If you are going to stay anywhere in the capital, make it the Bellavista barrio or neighbourhood. The place is full of restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. It has a young vibe with the University of San Sebastian in the area. Cerro San Cristobal and...More

Safe and buzzing with atmosphere - particularity in the evening/weekend. Clearly a once edgy area on the up. Lots of good street art, cafe, eateries and shops. Well worth a visit.

I guess we had little time and went during the day using the hop on hop off red Turistik bus. It was ok and a nice stroll through parks, old buildings and restaurants. But we don’t recommend this. Go at night when all bars and...More

Really nice neighbourhood to walk around, it has a bohemian atmosphere with street art, great bars and restaurants to relax in and people watch. It comes alive at night time, I prefer it during the day, when it’s more peaceful and you can appreciate the...More

A nice place for visitors during the day. Loads of eating and drinking establishments and servers trying to entice you in. Crowds increase as the sun sets and unless you are comfortable with the young clubbing crowd probably a daytime visit. The art work is...More

Hello Colorado. Great walking, food and drink. The problem you will have is choosing which one. Ask for a LAN shuttle to town if you are flying with them.. Maybe free transportation. Enjoy it's better than the airport
