The Metropolitan Cathedral is a must-see attraction for any tourist looking for ancient and important churches around the world. The interior is very detailed, a true work of art in Gothic style. Highly recommend.

Came here a few times to celebrate Mass. Found it busy, welcoming and engaging. Worth a visit too for some calm and tranquility away from the bustle of Plaza de Armas.

The Cathedral dominates the central plaza of Santiago and is an impressive sight. We were traveling with two other couples and toured the Cathedral as part of our three days in Santiago. Well presented in terms of the history of Chile.

A great living example of the Catholic influence in South America. The inside is beautiful and easily accessed. Bustling plaza outside adds to the vibe. Great place to check out while in Santiago.

This Cathedral is absolutely stunning, it looks so unassuming from the outside, but is eye-opening once you are inside! It has a really great spiritual feeling, and as an active Cathedral has retained its authenticity.

Visited early Wednesday morning and had no problem slowly viewing each altar and snapping as many pics as I wanted. Be sure to head downstairs too, the entrance is directly in front of Jesus, not kidding.

Soo huge! You can enter for free and worth to see it, maybe the only one building in the square (Plaza de Armas) what worth to see inside.
