This huge park, right next to the city center, is well worth a visit. The sancutary, at the top, is a beautiful place, even for non-catholics, like myself. the trolley takes you across the whole park, and to the other side of town.

We got up there just in time for a wonderful sunset. Unfortunately (no idea why) they didn't let me into the church but there is a beautiful Virgin Mary statue I could pray to. Check the weather before you go.

Great place to walk around. Great views of the city. Take the tram up or the cable cars to go at the top.

We walked to the top, which didn’t really take that long, but we were followed by loads of stray dogs, which would put me off doing it again. We did it early in the morning, which meant it was virtually deserted. There’s a nice garden...More

Take the tram up or the cable cars, I do not recommend hiking. What a pain. Beautiful views. You can see forever. You are above the smog layer and can see a lot farther than one would normally do. Can be a lot of people...More

Pretty touristy but too cool to not pass up. I would recommend walking because of the views you get, but the chairlift and outdoor elevator are also options. Very pretty pool at the top too!

Hi, Do you mean the funicular train up to the top? It's CLP 2,000 round-trip. But I am not sure about the Zoo.

We were there in late morning but, considering the 360 degree view from the top, the sunrise should be nice IF the sky is clear, which is a very rare occasion in Santiago. It is not a climb but a nice walk uphill, on an... More
