The lake allows parking on the beach and a few short walks round to the left will take you to nice beaches and good views. We took our own food but there are a few restaurants in the area. It is a lovely area with good views.

There is a reason they call it the Kings lake. 2 presidents of chile live here. The water is super clear. One of the most pristine, beautiful lakes in the world.

Playa Blanca is the better sand, and in November during a weekday was nearly deserted. It is a beautiful lake with clear water, and shallow and sandy enough from the shore to allow easy wading or swimmer if one is prepared for mountain lake water temps. A nice spot to enjoy a picnic and relax, with easy access from Pucon... More

Extraordinary beach with white sand, "Playa Blanca". Difficult access but worth it. You can camping near de beach or rent a cabin. It's not expensive.

The scenery is really beautiful. It's a shame cars are allowed directly on the beach, because they ruin the view a bit. It must be a great place in summer, when you can swim in the lake. The place is being rebuilt at the moment, but still worth the visit.

Real nice place for swimming or just waking around at a sunny sunday afternoon in autumn or spring. In January and February way tooo crowded. Almost whole Santiago is laying at the beaches during that time of the year. The water is very clear, especially playa blanca is a real beauty.

As of February this year, the lake front is a building site-avoid for now, though once finished, I am sure it will be great. The lake itself is great having been before pre works

Although it is not the most beautiful of all the wonderful lakes in this area, it was a success for a day outing with our girl who wanted to play and splash in the water. Renting a canoe or water bike is totally affordable and the beach is so shallow and calm that the little ones have no fear. Kids... More

We hired kayaks from One of the nearby hostels & went, picnic in hand, in search of a quiet beach. We found it, and met some great likeminded people doing the same. Hire is 5000clp/pp and well worth it. Continue on past thrifts busy beach, passing the peninsula. You will then pass a second beach where you are not allowed... More
