It's a nice place to stay and chill when you read a book. The water of the lake is a little bit cold but there's no problem and you get used to it. The black sand it's really wird in the begging but it's really pretty too. When you're on Pucon you definitely must see the Cabuga Lake.

Definitely worth a 1/2 day trip from pucon with a picnic lunch. We local bussed from the buses caburgua station (opposite JAC) right to playa Blanca and then walked round to the township Paddle boats, kayaks etc to rent You'll have a fun day out here

This is a lovely lake to enjoy a sun set on. You can chill on the boardwalk or take a boat or kayak (through chili kiwi hostel) out to the lake. If you take a kayak you can visit some different beaches on the lake also. This is nice to dock the kayak and have a picnic.

The lake allows parking on the beach and a few short walks round to the left will take you to nice beaches and good views. We took our own food but there are a few restaurants in the area. It is a lovely area with good views.

There is a reason they call it the Kings lake. 2 presidents of chile live here. The water is super clear. One of the most pristine, beautiful lakes in the world.

Playa Blanca is the better sand, and in November during a weekday was nearly deserted. It is a beautiful lake with clear water, and shallow and sandy enough from the shore to allow easy wading or swimmer if one is prepared for mountain lake water temps. A nice spot to enjoy a picnic and relax, with easy access from Pucon... More

Extraordinary beach with white sand, "Playa Blanca". Difficult access but worth it. You can camping near de beach or rent a cabin. It's not expensive.

The scenery is really beautiful. It's a shame cars are allowed directly on the beach, because they ruin the view a bit. It must be a great place in summer, when you can swim in the lake. The place is being rebuilt at the moment, but still worth the visit.

Real nice place for swimming or just waking around at a sunny sunday afternoon in autumn or spring. In January and February way tooo crowded. Almost whole Santiago is laying at the beaches during that time of the year. The water is very clear, especially playa blanca is a real beauty.

As of February this year, the lake front is a building site-avoid for now, though once finished, I am sure it will be great. The lake itself is great having been before pre works
