Beautiful example of a simple plain building for a place of worship .This historical building was opened in the 1880 s for the islanders .one of three churches in Stanley .

Jackie, Gladys and others were very friendly. Gladys has some interesting stories of the church and its existence. They continue to keep the doors open.

Strong musty smell greets you when you enter this free Church. It is a very plain church on the inside, no stained glass or other adornments - as you can see from the photos. Not worth the stop unless you have an association with the...More

This church was first opened in 1882; it is one of the "Tin Tabernacles" sent around the world by Charles Spurgeon to be used for Christian worship. The church still functions as a church, in Stanley along with the Anglican Cathedral and the Catholic Church....More
