I tried in vain to complete the solar system walk. However, one of the sculptures (possibly mercury?) was at the top of a very large, rocky hill. So I had to take a rain check.

This was a quirky thing to find in Stanley, but we liked the idea behind it. It is a series of planet sculptures set out along the foreshore path with the distances between them to scale. Really keen people could walk the entire length, but...More

Quirky, but not worth going out of your way to see. Unless you're there for a week and have really exhausted all other options!

This a a scale model of the Solar System (inc Pluto), the outer planets would make a full days walk, but the inner planets can be done in short time, if you are a Geocacher, several of the sculptures have geocaches close by. This can...More

This is an interesting 'sculpture' designed to portray the entire solar system. It is located on a lovely walk along the harbour front

It's not a bad piece of sculpture I guess, but I couldn't see any relevance to it's position. I can't see the reason for it being there

Not even sure why they put this here. You will bump into it by accident if you are walking the main road in Stanley doing the sights. Hardly worth a photo.

Its kind of a scale system where you walk along the waterfront and there are more scale models to distance from the sun to be found. It is interesting if you are a tourist and fancy a walk.
