Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Pagoda street is a fun experience for just wandering around. The street is always lively, there’s always something to see and even if you’ve been there several times before, there’s always something new. Great place for photographs and for eating exceptional food. Definitely worth a visit.

Great area which has a vibrant feel to it. It also feels very safe compared to other Chinatowns. Lots of shops selling interesting souvenirs. Also lots of eateries which do various interesting Chinese meals

During our walk, the street was packed with people, mostly sightseeing and a few shoppers buying inexpensive goods and souvenirs. It is interesting, but I do most of my shopping in the wholesale markets of Guangzhou. Some of the buildings offer interesting architecture, dating back to the 1820s, and others look like colourful works of art. This is a busy pedestrian street in the centre of Chinatown.

This whole area has a unique atmosphere with something for everyone. Shopping ranges from cheap souvenirs to wide range of foodstuffs (modern/traditional) to more expensive locally produced items. There is one stallholder there who was actually the designer of the artwork on medallions put out by the Singapore Mint to mark the Year of the Pig. He sells a great range of artwork ranging from traditional character pieces to paintings on fabric. Within this area of Chinatown there are also temples, colourful decorations, plenty of locals going about everyday life, quite a few large modern 'sculptures' all displaying a good insight into what makes Singapore. A fascinating, crowded and busy place to visit with a unique vibe.

If you are wanting Jewellery I recommend Myer's Jewellery in Pagoda Street Chinatown. They will give you great discount if you ask and the more items you purchase the better the price will be. It is all made there and a lot of pieces are quite unique.

We popped into china town to look around. Seen some orchard jewellery which the sales staff at Myer's Jewellery had told us was 24k including the chain. Not gold plated chain, only the orchard was dipped or gold plated.
Was charged for real 😳 gold -24k
We where supplied fake gold jewelry that is available in souvenir shops for 1/3 the price.

Be aware. No website, no Facebook updates for four years, other bad reviews on google.

I was looking for a silk kimono and couldn't find what i really wanted and needed and was in my size. I was referred by another shop keeper to BS (Best Souvenirs) to see Ms. Nasar. This shop is at 47 Pagoda St. I was very pleased at the selection and time Ms. Nasar took to find me a kimono that fit my larger size, and in a quality and price that suited by budget. Ms. Nasar didn't rush me and she showed me many kimonos without rushing me and to ensure we found something that i liked and at a price i was willing to pay. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for a silk or cotton kimono.

I am reviewing this place CHINESE ACCUPRESSURE CENTRE PAGODA STREET, as I cant seem to review under massage. I have been in the massage industry for a very long time and come to Singapore 3-4 times a year for work, so know there are plenty of places to get massage, most of which are good. I wanted my head neck and shoulders treated and was given a very poor and very quick (15 minutes tops) seated massage. No acupressure whatsoever , just a generalized rub , with no strength. The guy doing me answered the phone during the massage and I could tell he also texted on his phone, also not friendly.. I was charged $30 for this rubbish and just want to warn you not to go, try somewhere else just across the walkway in the people park complex, much better skills and much cheaper. I came away feeling totally ripped off & annoyed , there were plenty of locals in there , maybe they give them decent treatment and rip the "tourists off"

With the Sri Mariamman Temple located at one end, and the People’s Park Complex shopping centre at the other (across New bridge road), Pagoda street is the heart of Chinatown.
It is an interesting walk, through this historical district
From the usual souvenir and clothes shops, to a range of specialty market stalls, not to mention, a plethora of restaurants to temp your taste buds.
