This Cenotaph to the people who gave their lives during the First and Second World Wars is located in a major site and in an area of grass and tranquillity.

Sited just away from the heavy traffic on the Esplanade Bridge, the Cenotaph is quite rightly away from the "Picnic area" of Esplanade Park. This is a solid, substantial and fitting memorial to those who gave their lives in both World War 1 and WW2....More

nothing much here. just a memory for the fallen. but interesting to note that this was built before WWII and there was a fight at this location. you can still see some bullet holes left behind.

since better cenotaphs but its still worth a look if your walking past. add it too your self walking tour like we did

Walked past the Cenotaph on my way from the National Gallery. An empty tomb constructed during the British Era. It serves to remind us of the war dead of both wars, and perhaps locally more so of the Fall of Singapore and the Japanese occupation....More

This is just a small monument to commemorate lives lost in the world wars. Not too much to see and a few minutes is sufficient for a visit.
