The historic Long Bar returns fully restored and continues its proud tradition as the Home of the Singapore Sling. The famous counter shines like new amidst decor that marries architecture and contemporary plantation-inspired motifs. Long Bar was...more
Despite very long queues to get inside, we did not have to wait long. As a Singapore Sling costs $32 I assume people don’t hang around in there for too long! We enjoyed the Slings and a mocktail as well as throwing the peanuts around...More
This bar has been recently renovated but the rest of the hotel continues to be under wraps. There was a short queue to get in, the atmosphere was not what it was years ago, the drinks were very expensive and there were nutshells all over...More
Lovely little bar with a great set up, monkey nut casing on the floor when you walk in to add to the feel. The most amazing Singapore sling I have tried in Singapore. Tried a few after trying the first one here. Quick service and...More
We had a nice visit to the bar this time, too. The Singapore Sling tasted very good, but we had to pay more than enough this time as well as last time we visited the bar. This is really a tourist trap, but charming, full...More
The Long Bar is colonial charm in true Raffles prestige. When I was there, it was newly renovated and the only space open, while the rest of the Raffles was still undergoing renovation.

Raffles hotel is still closed for refurbishment, but the Long Bar is now re-opened for business. Although refurbished it seems just the same and still retains that old colonial character. The drinks are expensive, but you're not just paying for the drinks, you're paying for...More

You need to check that the Raffles Hotel has reopened, as during our visit in April, it was under-going a complete refurbishment. To get the Singapore Sling experience, there was a very small temporary 'pop-up' Long Bar at the back of the hotel in Leah Street, if I remember correctly. It wasn't the same as the real Long Bar, but there was also a small gift shop. No need to book, but it was full.
