In the area of the old port, well converted, there are now restaurants of all kinds. Those who give directly on the river have slightly higher prices, but in the others you eat well at more reasonable prices. We went there earlier in the day and it had the appearance of a dull carnival. In the evening, however, it moves with the lights that make it suggestive.

In its early days, Singapore's Clarke Quay was just a small terminal used for loading and unloading cargo on the upper reaches of the Singapore River. With the development and prosperity of Singapore, the original cargo terminal gradually evolved into a comprehensive area providing leisure, entertainment, shopping and dining. Whenever night falls and the lights begin to appear, various shops gradually open for business, creating the bright atmosphere of Clarke Quay. At the same time, restaurants of different styles gradually flow in with tourists, and the lively and strong festive atmosphere begins to exaggerate, becoming Part of the joyful atmosphere of Clarke Quay. Clarke Quay has the most famous nightlife venue in Singapore and is the preferred destination for young people in Singapore to hold parties and enjoy nightlife. Here, if you crave excitement, delicious food, and music, Clarke Quay will not disappoint you! We just came to take a boat trip on the river and visit along the way.

We enjoyed this river front area very much. Easily reachable via MRT. We came during the day as well as night time. Lots of shops, cafes, restaurants, ice cream parlor, and bars. In the day time, we got snacks and walked around a bit.

It really comes to life at night. With the temperature much cooler and the river water cooling effect, it is very pleasant! Many bars and lounges with live music, even found a salsa band playing. Definitely spend some time walking through the alleys, we came upon a water fountain feature. Got some drinks and sat to people watch for a while.

The route "between the two bridges" was quite doable. Took some colorful night photos. Wonderful spot to hang out.

An amazing place right beside the biggest river in Singapore. A varied of restaurants and pubs with amazing food. This is one of the places in Singapore where you can find food even after 10:00 pm.

Please note that Singapore closes after 10:00 pm. All the restaurants and malls otherwise shut down but Clare Quay is opened always.

My husband suggested we visit on our last day before our very late flight to fill in the time.
It was very quiet, Sunday lunchtime, lovely stroll around the area. We stopped for lunch at a little cafe, had nacho and chips was fine.
Then my son noticed something in the water and we rushed over to look. 2 otters playing with a fish. This just made my week. I’d been watching out for otters as I’d been led to believe they are everywhere, they are not.
We watched them fight over and eat a fish, they tree the head end back in the water and then a bloomin sea eagle came in and swooped it away!!!! And then we saw a turtle. Honestly what a great hour we had.
I believe it’s a different place at night as it was full of bars and restaurants. Hooters being one of them.

Such a great place to hangout. Food, water, boats, shopping, clubs, drinks, music, and having a good old time. The place comes alive at night.

You cannot miss this.

Area has a great variety of restaurants however only a few are open for lunch. The river boats depart from Clark quay. This area is more vibrant after 5:00 pm as all the restaurant are open. Pretty area with a nice long walking path along the river. Restaurants are expensive but pretty area

We caught a taxi here to take a cruise on the Singapore River/reservoir. Other than the 5 people working in the ticket booth and 2 waiters in the nearby Zorba restaurant, there were no other people in sight. Such a difference from when last here, the place was bustling and a had a fantastic atmosphere. The major redevelopment currently doesn't entice people, could be interesting to see how many survive in business until the work is completed. 6 of us departed on the cruise, we were the only returnees to have lunch at Zorbas on return.
