It was refreshing and interesting to see this colorful old building. We were on our own walking tour to discover places nearby and were delightfully impressed with this building. Worth a visit just to take pictures. We did not enter.

The MICA building is beautiful and stands out in Clarke Quay due to the colourful window frames which adorn the building. Take time to enjoy it from the outside.

This building is located opposite Clarke Quay. The building is restored to its former glory and each window is colored to liven up the buiulding. The ground floor houses art galleries, while the upper floors house the offices of the government ministry: Ministry of Communication & Information.

Of course the building looks very cheerful and inviting on the outside. Ironically, the MICA building at 140 Hill Street, is mainly known for having been the Old Police building. It now houses several life-enhancing ministries: culture, youth and civilization. Don't just go by to admire the rainbow of cutely painted shutters. There are several galleries here and, as usual,... The primary purpose of this building is to house 2 Singapore government ministries, specifically the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth; and the Minsitry of Communications and Information. As such, most of the building isn't accessible to the general public. On the ground floor, however, are several art galleries with various mainly Asian art for sale. It's easy enough to... More

Heard that the art galleries inside this building are a "good find', I decided to go there and have a look. Knew beforehand that the galleries mostly specialize in south East Asian art and since I'm not a fan, I went in with low expectations . The 1st 2-3 galleries were small and dull, with average service. The next one... More

The main attraction to this building is the multiple colored shutters, which really make it stand out. They also light up in different colors at night. Not worth a visit by itself, but it's a nice photo op if you are at Fort Canning, which is right behind it, or Clark's Quay, across the street, especially at night.

We have passed this building many times. I like the colourful wooden shutters on windows. There are some small galleries inside but we never visited, the building looks nice at night.

We walk by this building at least 10 times during our vacation. It's a colourful building right next to the river and busy street. Worth of pic

Since the ministry, whose HQ is housed in this building, has recently changed its name from "Ministry of Information, Communications & the Arts" to "Ministry of Communications & Information", will the building change its name to MCI Building? Only the atrium and shops on the ground floor are accessible to the public. The MCI offices on first floor upwards require... More
