Stayed close by just a short walk away. Great for the wet market as the fruits in this part of the world are amazing and trully exotic, prices are good fruit is fresh and good quality. The food court has many options at very cheap...More

How interesting is this place! On the lower ground you will find an array of food and drink stalls where all locals go. The food looks very interesting. We didn't try any as we had our fill at lunch time elsewhere, however we did sit...More

Hot, sticky, bustling and full of different smells. This is a must see for people to get a sense of the melting pot in Singapore. The selection of the food is sensational and you will find difficulty trying to pick. As a suggestion try the...More

This place has it all, lots of food stalls selling different types of food. Fresh meat, fish, vegetables, clothing, lots to see and do. Try one of the stalls for food, some fantastic dishes.

I visited this hawker center for the food and see the fresh produce. I had mutton biriyani , fresh coconut, bean curd and roti telur. All good quality with reasonable price. Was quite busy during lunch time.

Well organized and mostly clean market where you can find many choices to eat and souvenirs gifts. Everything has it's own rhythm so don't be scared to sneak with the locals. We had delicious and fresh fruit at some stall (not cheap though).

With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of
Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander
past traditional barbershops while local residents in
brightly coloured saris patronize retailers from
decades past. Peruse streets lined with colourful
shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge.
Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts
and take in the stalls selling bright flowers,

I haven't bought a saree in Singapore but there are certainly plenty to choose from at Tekka in many standards of quality. Find one you like then try your negotiating skills.
