Linking Marina Bay to Marina Centre, the Helix Bridge, is set to become Singapore’s next landmark. Located beside the Benjamin Sheares Bridge, alongside the vehicular Bayfront Bridge, it was officially opened on 24 April 2010 and is the world’s...more

We paid to go to the top of the Helix Bridge which was an amazing experience as it was a clear day providing amazing views across the bay and city. Perhaps we were unlucky but actually finding the lift to get up to the top...More
A useful bridge with interesting architecture/ engineering based on a multiple helix. Shares area and witnessed 5 near and 1 actual collision so ideally needs cycle/scooter paths 'designated' as in Brisbane etc.
This pedestrian bridge links the marina bay area to the stadium on the other side of the river where you will also find all of the big-name hotels. It really is worth a visit to the whole Marina Park area as this was all built...More

Helix Bridge is free and can be reached on foot from Bayfront station (CE1/DT16). I think it's much better to be visited after dark. If you go during the day, there are many attractions at a walking distance: Gardens by The Bay, ArtScience Museum, Singapore Flyer, and Marina Bay Sands observation deck (on one side), famous Merlion and "Esplanade - Theaters by The Bay" ("the durian building") on another. And if you're into brands shopping, check out (expensive!) Marina Bay Sands and Esplanade malls.
As for planning your itinerary in Singapore, I recommend gothere.sg which is available as both web site and a smartphone app. It will show you various travel options (public transport, taxi, etc.) including times and prices.
Singapore is a great place so good luck and have fun!
