Memories at Old Ford Factory is a place not to be missed for History Buffs but it is closed until 2017. This place will tell you how the Mighty British surrendered to the Ruthless Japanese, sparking a 3 years and 8 months of hell for Singapore. I am sure it will be better in 2017!

Walked 2km in the heat to get there after asking 3 taxis for directions from the Bukit Timah shopping centre. They had no idea what it was, so we asked at the MRT. When we got to the old Ford Factory we discovered it was closed.

Headed there yesterday and sadly saw a sign saying that it was close for renovations until 2017. The museum looks good from the outside though, and will like be back again when it reopens.

For us with a sense for history a visit to the Ford factory is necessary when visiting Singapore. It is all about the Japanese occupation, its start, its function, and its consequences. The museum is situated exactly where the Japanese invasion started and it gives a very good description of the psychologic game that caused English surrender under a strange... More

Think this one is really for the historians among us. I really enjoyed the experience, have wanted to see it for years but i could see that my wife wasn't that in to it! Staff on site very friendly and helpful, showed us a number of very interested documentaries.

If you think youll be seeing the old ford factory, think again! You get a short movie and a room full of photos and thats it. it is not worth the considerable effort to get there. Just google the singapore surrender and youll probably do just as well.

Very moving to see the WW11 artifacts. Spent an afternoon looking at the displays. It always amazes me that so many things survived the War and have a story behind them.

I have already been many times to Singapore for pleasure and i know my way around a bit but never went to this Museum before. I'm really interested in history so this Museum is really a must to visit if you are also interested in WW2. Very historical and important moments happened in and around this building. My visit was... More

Decided to walk into Memories at Ford Factory which I feel everyone should drop by. Great coverage of WWII and they have many wonderful artifacts and articles on display. Love the place. Will probably take you an hour to two hours to finish reading and touring the place.
