シティ方面からオーチャード・ロード方面へバスで向かう際、ペナンロード沿いでこの建物を見ました。中国風の建物です。シンガポールの歴史的建物として、指定を受けているようです。

c'est un temple qui ne se visite pas alors si vous y allez vous ne le verrez que de l'extérieur et voilà... sans plus quoi car il n'est pas non incontournable..pas du tout même.. en face se trouve le park Istana que je n'ai pas fait alors si vous venez par là le parc sera peut être mieux à voir..

イスタナ公園の道を挟んで裏にある黄色い壁の大きな家です。古いの建物をよく整備している感じはしますが週末はいつも門が閉まっているので観光できるのか疑問。北京中医医院と壁に書いてあったので、病院になっているのかも。

商人の大邸宅

大統領官邸正門から徒歩2分のペナン・ロードとクレメンソー・アベニューの交差点にある中国風の大邸宅です。
1885年に完成したこの家は中国系のビジネスマンTan Yeok Neeが植民地時代に香辛料の栽培・販売で財を成して自宅として建てた邸宅です。
１９世紀後半のシンガポールで商売で財を成した民間人が建てた4つの大邸宅の内の一つに数えられています。
何時も門が閉まっていて中を見た事が有りませんが、さぞや豪華な作りになっているのでしょう。
9番目にNational Monumentに指定された貴重な建物です。
