Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Small, secluded, surrounded by steep basalt walls this small lagoon is a hidden gem that you should not miss. Bear in mind that entering and exiting might not be an easy task if the ocean is a little rough; the entrance is rather small and tight, the walls are sharp and the waves can throw you here and there like a ragdoll. Do not forget to bring some sort of shoes to wear when you dispose of your fins because the water is so shallow that you will have to walk your way to the beach and the seabed is very rocky.

This was the first stop of our Tour A. It was a nice ride going there. Boats docked very far from the shore. People were lining up going in and out from the secret lagoon. We waited for a while before we were able to go inside. Inside was a shallow form of warm water which was nothing great. It was just saying "oh, let's get out. It was better to swim outside in the sunny warm and cleaner water which has the best view. Blue & green water was so refreshing.

This destination does not take a lot of your time as the lagoon is quite tiny. However, it is quite an adventure to get there especially on a windy day. We had to leave the boat far away from the shore and walk to the beach in huge waves, strong current and sharp stones. Then thrust ourselves to the lagoon through a small hole. I would still say it was worth is as the Secret lagoon was quite stunning. We were lucky enough to be the only group at that time, but I can imagine how crowded it gets in the busiest hours. The beach outside the secret lagoon is also beautiful!

Don’t bother getting off the boat. A lot of messing around to get somewhere where you cant even swim, as it’s super shallow. You’re also held back by tour guides so people can get their perfect picture. Only one way in and out... long lines. Over rated.

We went on island hopping tour C and this was one of the stops. There were 15 boats of 22 people there. The water was extremely warm (which just made me think I was swimming in pee) and just all the people really ruined the experience. If it were private, I would have a totally different perspective.

we went to El Nido before the pandemic, unfortunately, we only got a glimpse of the secret lagoon due to high tide. We faced rough waters on our way there and on our way back. Sadly, I wasn't able to take a photo of it due to rough waves.

If you go during high tide, it would be hard to swim through the hole as the current is also strong. Our guide made us lie down on our backs (3 of us) and held on to each other feet while he pulled us to get to the hole. It was worth the challenge. The secret beach is lovely.

Floods of tourists make you think how come it is named a secret lagoon. Be wary of expectation vs reality issues. Be wary of itchy feels post swimming since planktons and jelly fishes are within your path. Before , entry entails that you are a guest of the exclusive beach resorts like Lagen and Miniloc. Now it is open season for literally everyone.,

Amazing beach where survivor sometimes films. Hard to describe the beauty of these islands. These volcanic spires, caves, and palm trees make an amazing backdrop to the crystal clear water and coral reefs teaming with wildlife. It’s a bucket list type place.
