Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The entrance fee for tourists is 15k rupiah which is much cheaper than other temple attractions. (This is about a 20 minutes drive from Ratu Boko).
This temple is located up a hill and we were treated to an incredible 360 degrees view of the landscape! There is 1 big and 3 smaller structures and we are allowed to explore inside the structures. I highly recommend.

This is the highest temple in Yogyakarta. Located on a green hill around 45 minutes from Yogyakarta, on the same direction with Prambanan Temple. This is a good spot for sunset. There are 17 structures here and some statues. If the sky is clear we can see Mt. Merbabu and Mt Merapi.

Ijo temple is a hidden gem, well off the beaten path, but so worth seeing it. Judging by the complete lack of foreign tourists, I'm guessing not many tours includes it on their map.
It's best you hire a bike or some other transportation because it's a shame to miss it. The temple itself is not much, but the journey itself is breathtaking.
Ijo is perched on top of a hill, and as you go up you'll get a taste of Indonesian countryside, with people working the fields, green rice paddies and lovely small houses. It's real Indonesia, the way anyone interested in local culture would like to see it, away from the noisy and crowded cities.
You can make as many detours as you would like on the way, to get a closer look at people working in the rice fields and go about their daily lives.
Highly recommend it ( too bad I can't post any pictures, as for some reason the trip advisor app doesn't recognise my photos )

Situated on top of Ijo and overlooking Jogja, the view is magnificent and green.
Not on the regular temple tours, this temple is one of few that ViaVia organises to include with the tour to Prambanan complex. Its a rocky ride up to the temple but its worth the trip through the terraced padi fields and various villages, you get to see how the locals live. My guide Uji from ViaVia gives good insights into the origins of the temples we visited.

The candi ijo are about 30 to 40 minute from adi sutjipto airport, the road to were quite challenging for car so it's better do not use sedan type. The air are fresh and this candi ijo, I believe is the highest candi site in yogya. You can see the whole city of yogya here and watched the plane fly above us. It's windy. I love this place coz there were only few people will come here.

A place to see nice sunset over the surrounding area (like many others in Indonesia). Other than that it's a little temple quite near Pramadan. Do make sure you have w ride back home before going there, it was surprisingly hard to get someone to pick us up for a trip back.

This temple is popular for sunset viewing. We arrived here just after 5pm. Normally the entrance fees should be IDR10k but we got to enter free as collection had closed for the day. There were plenty of people walking or sitting around waiting to catch the sunset. Unfortunately for that day, it was cloudy and there was no sunset view. However we could get great views of the surroundings here as the temple was situated on top of a hill.

Another temple in jogjakarta, the location still the same are with breksi cliff, about 3minutes from breksi cliff. The temple is not so big, only 1 big temple and 3small ones. When i came here the entrance fee is free because it's august, normaly you only pay 5k idr for entrance ticket. The area is on the mountain or hill so you can see a nice view from the temple. Nothing special on this temple but still if you love photography you will like it, you will have a nice photo shoot over there.
