Just 2.5 kilometres from Prambanan Temple is the beautiful Plaosan Lor and Kidul Temples. While there is no denying Prambanan Temple is spectacular, we both preferred the beautiful Plasoan North Temple over Prambanan, this was partly due to having it all to ourselves with only...More

Magnificent temple! Vey close to Prambanan. Perfect spot for the sunset. It was quiet and almost deserted when I visited it during the Ramadan.

A pair of beautiful temples with a good story to go with them. Worth seeing and convenient visit on the way from the airport to central Yogya. (See Prambanan on the same trip.)

25 dollars to see a temple, you don't think it is a bit too much ? Go to Plaosan temple next to eat it is 30cts and that is worth it.

The temple itself isn't as impressive as the Prambanan complewx but it's close to it so if you visit Prambanan and you leave at about 5PM, go there at least to check out the sunset, with Mt Merapi in the background.

I visited the Plaosan temple after the main Prambanan complex. The Plaosan temple is nice but I do not believe its worth going to if you're short on time or are templed out from the major ones.
