It's a museum of antique and artifacts from various different areas in Indonesia, mostly about ancient stones, tools and gems. Located in the central Jakarta next to National Monument (Monas).

Part of the museum was still under renovation during our visit (August 2018). We met a western guy that offer us a free guide service in the museum, i think he is an official guide of the museum.

From the Airport you can go directly to the the museum and the you can put your bag in the locker of the museum, there is a man in the next step of the ticket counter to put your bag. Must be count the time from the airport... More

Yes the museum is kids friendly in terms of free spaces but if you mean "kids friendly" in terms of activity I think not. But the museum is really big and you can enjoy it.
