Loved the exhibits showing the history of Indonesia, the beautiful model houses. It is a little dark inside making it not o easy to read the descriptions. Loved the modern sculptures outside too.

I came here when really crowded, lot of students and other visitors came. But i think there were traditional dance practice. Great place to come if you like history and statues..

We love it here. Great exhibition, well kept and loads to see. Get the free english tour guide (normally at 10 am or 1 pm). We spent 1,5 hr here and that's even not everything. This museum is also known as museum gajah. most locals...More

National Museum of Indonesia is located near MONAS in central Jakarta. It houses exhibits on Indonesian history, art and culture. A good attraction to combine with a visit to MONAS and the surrounding area.

Well organised into different sections inside the Museum. One will get a clear exposure to the history, culture and art of Indonesian archipelago. Great visit at least for 2 hours.

From the Airport you can go directly to the the museum and the you can put your bag in the locker of the museum, there is a man in the next step of the ticket counter to put your bag. Must be count the time from the airport... More

Yes the museum is kids friendly in terms of free spaces but if you mean "kids friendly" in terms of activity I think not. But the museum is really big and you can enjoy it.
