Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is the oldest Chinese temple in Jakarta that built year 1650 with name Kwan Im Teng. During dutch colonial, this temple become the centre of culture and traditions Chinese people that live on Batavia ( Jakarta).
If we visit this temple, we will see alot of Chinese people pray follow their traditions.
What we can do and try here is try our fortune teller by communication with God called Xiao pei.
In this temple also we can see alot of Chinese people free the birds as their symbol they free the bad luck and negativity and invite more luckiness and positive things in life.
The candles was beautiful and big. And alot of God and Godness also in Chinese people here.
In special occasion like Chinese New Year, they will have special celebration.

This temple is quite new as compared to the old one which was burned down in a riot from way back. This is worth a visit to understand the Chinese culture in Jakarta. Some nearby temples also function a church. The place is really in the middle of suburbs and you can see regular joes going about their lives. It is not really a big temple and you can finish it in 30min tops. But it is still worth a visit for its ambience.

Tee Djong Ong or called Dharma Sakti Temple is the oldest temple in West Jakarta, built since 1650. It is located side by side with the Dharma Bhakti Temple.
Dharma Sakti Temple has two temples, namely Tee Tjang Wang and Hian Tan Keng. This temple located in Petak Sembilan Glodok, West Jakarta, was re established for the efforts of Locu and the management on June 4 1976 or on Chinese New Year namely on March 7, 2527.
The very wide yard is often used as a place for beggars to sit or sleep and wait for money from visitors. But this temple is still used as a place of worship. Chinese ethnic residents seemed to light up the hio and pray to give greetings to Dewi Kwan Im. other than that, This temple is a historical tourist attraction and many foreign tourists visit this place to pray or even take pictures, because this place is a witness to the history of Jakarta's community culture, and if you visit here to see old jakarta batavia, make sure you visit here.

Looks like there was a fire here and they are still rebuilding it, it was a sad place with homeless people in it. I don’t recommend a visit right now.

I am surprised that this is so low on the list as this was one of the few highlights in Jakarta, a noise, overcrowded, dirty city. It is a Buddhist Temple that is open to all with lots of incense, beautiful prayer rooms with elaborate decorations, and beggars. It represents the best and the worst of society. You will have to walk though the alleys of Chinatown to get there. It might not be pleasant to witness but the beauty makes the visit worthwhile.

This temple is pretty run down. Lots of beggars and jobless sitting around the entrance to ask for money. The temple is nothing special than typical praying god of mercy and other god that protect the home and businesses. Small temple and uniquely co-exist with Chinatown! Painted red and hanged with lots of red lantern.
