My favorite is the replica of China old town, they make it really real that I felt I traveled back time haha :)) There's a tea house... More

We have come to the conclusion, that, if, you have seen one museum in City, you have seen them all in China. Not as big as the Beijing museum but still huge. It has about six halls that start from prehistoric era till the late Qing dynasty. The good thing was when we arrived at about 1330hrs, there was a... More

We visited here to see an exhibition of Han/Ming/Qing/more jewellery and silken clothing that my partner was most satisfied by. We didn't pay the extra fee to see the 'special exhibit' in the central hall and weren't sure what exactly was inside. I spent an hour looking through the side halls where the history of Nanjing was described in quite... More

Not to be confused with the Nanjing Museum. This is a different one. Set in Chaotian Palace with many displays of artifacts, from fossils and tools, to bronze, porcelain, jades and silk. There were so much to look at, we spent hours there. A good time to learn about the history of Nanjing, and also an escape from the summer... More

I am really impressed by this museum. My older kids love it. They are 6 and 8. My youngest 2 is impartial. There are audio guides for rent if you are interested in the history. The english is actually pretty decent on the guides. We usually take my kids through the fossils then head down to the digital museum. That... More

We went on a rainy day, thinking it would be nice to let the children see the place. The children were bored. And moving from one hall to another, we got wet. The grounds were slippery.

The museum has recently been moved to a palace, and is very well laid out. The exhibits are of good quality and well marked. Definitely worth the time!
