A bit of a stair climb to visit the tomb itself but well worth it for the views alone. Very worthwhile to read some of the family history before you go to understand the Chinese political mindset.
Despite the very long walk up to this monument, the gardens and surrounding landscape are very handsome --like a small oasis in a city full of sky scrapers.
Great travel experience, full of historic moments and interesting facts. The climb was pretty tough though-293 steps. Would recommend to people who like exploring but not to the elderly who have aching bodies.

When I went here on a Saturday morning entry was free but it looked as if sometimes an entry fee is required. The layout is very good. Many steps at different levels are required to be climbed to get to the mausoleum but the climb...More
The green and peaceful place of rememberance. The gardens and serenity of the sight is wonderful. It is a must see place.
