Quite a Tourist Site

The Wall runs alongside the Lake in Nanjing and it is well kept and clean. It is not promoted as much as it should. Close to the accommodation areas,

I found the location with a lake quite comfortable. It costs RMB 30 to enter and the walk was short but quite nice. Old canons are around.

I spent a year in Nanjing and can't believe I never visited the Nanjing City Wall during that time. add 9 to 10 you get 19, add 7 to 193, you get 200. This historical musuem is just like math in a way because the walls are composed with so many bricks that were established by the workers who died to build it. Visited in Nov 2012

The wall itself is quite impressive to view (note: I haven't been to the Great Wall yet), but it does get kind of old rather quickly (it is a wall after all). You also get great views of Xuan Wu Hu (玄武湖). Overall very nice and quiet since there weren't many visitors.
